Just last week I told you how former sweetie-pie (actually diabetes inducing), Vanessa Hudgens, had finally got her self some edge by ditching the predictable long locks for a shorter, sexier crop. True the haircut was for the purpose of a movie role (in which she plays a pregnant teenager living on the streets – ooh gritty), but it was still a revolutionary change for the sugar-coated actress. It took her out of sweet and innocent High School Musical and put her straight into Sexual Exploration University (sorry guys its not a real university – I was just making a point). She was finally standing out from the crowd as something different. But, no sooner as her locks were chopped, she is spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday.

So unless Vanessa has been using miracle grow in a completely revolutionary way, she is sporting a wig or super long hair extensions, transporting her back to the mediocrity she had before the chop. Vanessa, I’m disappointed in you.

So thank goodness for the gorgeous Frankie Standford. The girl is a breath of fresh air, having been sporting a super cute, yet sophisticated bob with heavy fringe for some months now, making her the stand out member of girl-group, The Saturdays. Well recently Frankie, like Vanessa, thought it was time for a change and replaced her signature side parting short bob for a super-short pixie crop. The ‘do’, reminiscent of Victoria Beckham’s famous pixie cut of 2008, really suits the 22-year-old singer’s delicate facial features. The look is a total winner and, unlike Vanessa, Frankie doesn’t seem the type to go desperately lurching for the hair extensions.

So who is the winner in the battle of Frankie Sandford vs. Vanessa Hudgens? Well for me, it’s easy…but what do you think?
