I know it has been a while but finally we have another Hairbomb Hero worthy of saluting – can we get a raucous round of applause for the brilliantly creative Christopher Mosoph. Our hero had an important event coming up, his prom, and wanted to make sure he stood out from the crowd. He had come up with the idea of creating a long rainbow coloured fringe with the short top, back and sides of his hair black underneath and white on the top. As you can see the results are pretty damn fantastic and doesn’t he look handsome in his suit? Bravo good sir.
A good move on his part was getting the complicated rainbow fringe done professionally or he might have turned up at the prom with no fringe at all or a horrific tie-dye fringe that will stand out for all the wrong reasons. Another good move on Christopher’s part was to save himself some money by buying a Manic Panic Virgin Snow toner from us here at Hairbomb, so he could achieve the white part of his ‘do’ at home.

So the key thing to remember is to use the Virgin Snow on Clean hair that has been washed with shampoo only, preferably a clarifying shampoo (we have a great one from directions for sale). Additionally, the toner tends to work much better if the hair is bone dry before applying as there will be no water present to dilute the product. Finally leave the toner as long as possible – overnight is probably best.
After his fantastic and amazingly well executed rainbow bright hair (not good enough to take my place on the Hairbomb team though, right?), our hero Christopher has decided that he wants a bit of a break from dying his hair every colour he can get his hands on (at once). The lovely Chris seems keen to stick with just one shade for a while – his favourite colour red; good colour for a hero don’t you think?

Torn between Vampire Red and Wildfire Red (both from Manic Panic’s Amplified range), where else was he going to go for advice but to the Hairbomb team. Well after several cups of tea, and a couple of packets of biscuits we couldn’t agree on the best option…mainly because we love them both. Choosing one over the other would seem like such a betrayal; I know what you’re thinking – Gems the resident Hairbomb kitty (with some serious claws) finding her conscious, but hair dye is no joke people.
What we could agree on, is that while red is a super-hot choice of hair colour, over time shades will begin to fade, so it all depends on what shade of fade you are happy with. For example the Manic Panic Vampire Red is a darker rich red that will fade to a pinkish tone and Manic Panic Wildfire Red will fade with an orange tone. For a super bright fire engine red Manic Panic Pillarbox Red is definitely the best choice bit it will loose its intensity over time. Hopefully that little guide helps our Hairbomb Hero Christopher and maybe some of you out there.
