Hairbomb Heroes 5 – Radiant Redheads

Friday, 13 January 2012 20:27:57 Europe/London

Here at Hairbomb HQ we love it when you guys at home send in pictures of all your hair dying efforts using the extensive range of dyes we have on offer. So imagine how pleased we were to receive a whole host of pictures of over the holiday period – it really cheered up our January blues. Seems a lot of you out there are brightening up the colder months with some radiant red shades, so we picked out some of our favourites to honour with the Hairbomb Hero title.

Our first Hero award goes to the lovely Sam Franklin who has created a lovely deep red shade by mixing in a teeny tiny bit of Directions Ebony into her Directions Poppy Red. We think the effect of the mixed colours is fabulous and the shade goes beautiful with her delicate skin tone. So if you are brave enough to mix your shades, get in touch with a picture and you might be out next Hairbomb Hero.

Our next Hero award goes to the daring Suzie Blackman for her terrific pink hair – yes we know that pink is not technically red, but you have to admit its pretty close and we just love Suzie’s hair. With naturally light brown hair, Suzie has the ever-stylish dip-dye done by a professional hairdresser, but did the pink herself at home, and boy didn’t she do well? Suzie used Manic Panic Amplified Atomic Pink mixed with 50% Special Effects toner to make the colour stay vibrant for longer. Sam told us: “I love having pink hair, whenever I see it out the corner or my eye it makes me happy!” Isn’t that really nice to hear? Do you have any tips to make your hair colour last longer? Share them with us and the results and you could be featured on one of our Hairbomb heroes pages.

Next up to receive their Hairbomb Heroes award is Kathryn Somers, who is also rocking the red in 2012. Kathryn is another hair innovator who is mixing up their own shades to get unique results. Kathryn’s colour is the result of mixing equal parts of Manic Panic Rock Star Red and Manic Panic Pillar Box Red and by leaving the colour on for 14 hours. Very impressive Kathryn, we hope you continue to keep up the good work and continue to share the results with us.

And because variety is the spice of life…our last Hairbomb Hero award goes to the super cute Chloe Leighton. We didn’t want to seem too bias to the red colour palette and when Chloe emailed in with her picture we instantly thought she was worthy of Hairbomb Hero status. Chloe has coloured just the front section of her blonde hair with Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise and we think it makes her look very much like a pixie – it’s a great look.
