Just a few short hours after tweeting her congratulations to the People’s Choice Award winners in lieu of her absence, Katy Perry emerged from her self-imposed seclusion for the first time since hubby Russell Brand filed for divorce last month. For her big reappearance back into the public eye, Katy sported a rather vibrant cobalt blue long bob.

Katy has been a bit of a chameleon in the hair stakes – in the past 12 months Katy has rocked black, pink, blonde and lavender locks, but we think her atomic shade of blue is her best look yet.

On the 12^th on January, Katy posed for a picture with fan, Eric Berlanger on the set of an Adidas advert in California’s Santa Barbara. Despite recent events, the blue of her hair didn’t match her mood, with the ‘Fireworks’ singer appeared in good spirits with full make up, bejewelled Adidas tracksuit and bright smile.

Berlanger told The Sun that that “She was great, really nice, she seemed happy…I asked if I could take a picture with her and she said yes…gave me a hug and told me I smell good then we took the two pictures.”

Perry started dating womanising Brand in 2009 and they tied the knot in a Northern Indian luxury resort in October of 2010. After just 14 months of marriage and numerous rumours, Brand filed for divorce on 30^th December 2011 citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ with moving vans spotted outside the pair’s Los Angeles home.

Well we think that Katy looks great and we wish her all the best for the future.
