Feminists, it may be time to go and burn your bra somewhere for five minutes because I am about to go pink-mad for a moment. Don’t worry I’m not gonna go all Jordan and star wearing all pink, velour-tracksuits (a few sizes too small) and get a tiny dog and dye it pink. However, I am very tempted to dye my hair pink, thanks to inspirational Hairbomb Hero, Rachael Neiman.
A few weeks ago I informed you that coloured hair was officially in and crappy schizophrenic haircuts were out, thanks to super-sleek and stylish celebrities, such as Hairbomb favourite, Nicki Minaj. Hairbomb Hero, Rachael Neiman, was already ahead of the trend when she appeared on University Challenge, choosing a gorgeous neon pink shade. Not only is Rachael and inspiration in the style department but she is an inspiration as a person; going blind at 17, Rachael has never let it, or anything else, stand in her way. So if like me you want to be like Rachael when you grow up, why not start off with some pink locks that will look gorgeous in the summer sun (if we get any of course).
Here at Hairbomb we have many pink shades of offer, so you can choose how subtle or screaming, you want to go:
MANIC PANIC: Cotton Candy Pink, Emily the Stange Mystery Pink, Fuchsia Shock, Hot Hot Pink and Pretty Flamingo – from £6.95
RUSK: Atomic Magenta and Hot Pink, both at £6.50
SPECIAL EFFECTS: Atomic Pink (UV), Cupcake Pink and Joy Ride – all at £8.80
DIRECTIONS: Carnation Pink, Cerise, Flamingo Pink and Pastel Punk – all at £3.95
FUDGE: Pink Moon and Pretty Flamingo, both at £8.95
Dying your hair pink, even with one of our brilliant semi-permanent dyes, is a bit of a big commitment so you want to be sure what shade suits you. Finding out afterwards that you look an over-iced cupcake is a little late. So if you can, hit your nearest fancy-dress or wig shop and try on some pink wigs to find out which shades suit you. Once you have found the shade that works for you consider bleaching your hair first as it will result in a much brighter and vibrant result. To keep the pink colour lasting a bit longer add a little bit of your favourite shade into your conditioner and shampoo to give that extra top up of colour every time you wash your hair.
If you need any advice about how to dye your hair, or anything hair related, here at Hairbomb we are always willing to help. Just send us a cheeky little email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You never know you could be the next Hairbomb Hero.
