So Thursday is usually the day that I usually give you a nice little ‘how to’ related to our star of Tuesday’s blog, which was the fabulous Emma Watson this week. But sorry Emma, I’m afraid you have been shelved; it is just unfortunate that ‘your day’ fell on the favourite holiday of booze-lovers everywhere, yes my lovelies, it is St Partrick’s day. So dig out your oversized novelty leprechaun hat, get some potatoes down you (but whatever you do don’t mention the famine) and guzzle down shamrock dusted, green coloured Guinness (I should say drink responsibly, but I’m not sure you’re going to listen to me). You are going to need something to accessorize that unholy coloured pint, so why not in the spirit of St Patrick’s Day, dye your hair green.
Green hair has been spotted on a range of uber cool and stylish celebs, so you know it’s the way forward. Gorgeous green locks have been seen on Avril Lavine, Pixie Geldof, Kayne West’s supermodel squeeze Amber Rose and girl of the moment Nicki Minaj. So if you want to do something a little bit different, like these luscious ladies then you have come to the right place. Here at Hairbomb, we have a great selection of green hair colours. For a more subtle (if that’s even the right word) colour go for the alpine and apple varieties of green that we have available, or if you want to pump up the look (and why wouldn’t you), go for the Electric Lizard colours by Manic Panic.
Manic Panic's was created in 1977 by legends of the original New York punk scene, Tish and Snooky, whilst hanging out with likes of The Ramones and Blondie. Their mission was to make hair colour for every colour of the rainbow and more, and 30 years, and 32 shades later, Manic Panic is the dye for funky coloured hair. Fans include HRH Cyndi Lauper, Kelis, Marilyn Manson, Joss Stone to name but a few, and us mere mortals at Hairbomb, quite like it too. The Semi Permanent dyes typically last between four to six weeks, and shades can be mixed and matched to your heart’s content! Even better, the range is really gentle on the hair, comprises all natural ingredients and there is no animal testing involved.
You don’t need St Paddy’s day as an excuse to dye your hair green; in today’s planet-conscious world, you never need an excuse. Like the mighty unwashed of Greenpeace and Al Gore keep yelling at us “GO GREEN”.
